Industries

We already know what your industry buys, and when

Different industries buy different things on different calendars. Here's where we start with each.

Contractors and trades

What works: ANSI Class 2 hi-vis tees and vests, embroidered caps, hoodies, soft shell jackets, and quarter-zips for the office side. Caps and tees are what crews genuinely want.
When: Spring at season start, and Q4 for jackets and safety awards.
Worth knowing: 98% of construction buyers say branded gear delivers, and two-thirds call it "very important." A coordinated uniform package beats one-off orders — and if crews turn over, we'll set up a store so you're not re-quoting every hire.

Medical, dental, and veterinary practices

What works: Performance polos and quarter-zips for staff, plus appreciation gifts and wellness kits.
When: Nurses Week is May 6–12, and practices order in March. Then open enrollment and year-end.
Worth knowing: Healthcare is the fastest-growing market in promotional products right now, and the buyers are practice managers, not procurement departments. What they want most is something that makes staff feel valued — so we lead with appreciation, not logo placement.

Churches and ministries

What works: VBS tees in bulk, volunteer and staff polos, youth group hoodies, mission trip apparel, totes.
When: VBS gets quoted February through April for June. Then back-to-church in August and Christmas.
Worth knowing: Budgets are real and watched carefully, so we'll show you where to spend and where to save. Youth sizes are usually the thing that gets missed — we'll ask.

Schools, PTAs, and teams

What works: Spirit tees and hoodies, drawstring packs, caps, staff apparel, and fundraiser stores.
When: August and September for back-to-school, January, spring sports, and teacher appreciation in May.
Worth knowing: If you're a volunteer running a spirit sale, let us run the store. Parents order and pay individually, everything ships direct, and nobody is sorting shirts on a cafeteria table or fronting money for inventory.

Restaurants, bars, and breweries

What works: Embroidered aprons, staff tees and polos, caps, and — increasingly — custom matchbooks and matchboxes as both a table item and retail merch.
When: Spring for patio season, Q4 for retail and gifts.
Worth knowing: Aprons have a 6-piece minimum, so a single small shop can do a real uniform program. Custom matches are the thing guests photograph and pocket, and they carry your name home.

Salons, barbershops, and retail

What works: Embroidered aprons and smocks, staff polos, caps, spa wraps, and merch you sell at the counter.
When: January for new-year refreshes, spring show season, and Q4 for retail and client gifts.
Worth knowing: If you're putting merch on your own shelf, we'll show you the margin math — not just the shirt.

Candle and home-fragrance brands

What works: Custom matchboxes, long matches in glass bottles, branded packaging, and totes.
When: Order 10–12 weeks before your Q4 retail push.
Worth knowing: The glass-bottle long matches start at only 100 units, which makes a real branded accessory workable for a small brand.

Nonprofits and events

What works: Race tees, volunteer shirts, totes, banners and signage, sponsor recognition.
When: Eight to ten weeks before your event date, with clusters in spring and fall.
Worth knowing: Sponsor-funded budgets are firm, so we'll work backward from the number you have. Send us the sponsor logo requirements early — logo lock-ups are what delay these jobs, every time.

Offices and professional services

What works: New hire onboarding kits, employee appreciation kits, client gifts, embroidered quarter-zips and backpacks.
When: Employee Appreciation Day is March 6, 2026 and March 5, 2027 — order in mid-January. Then Q4 and fiscal year start.
Worth knowing: Kits are the best thing we make. They arrive assembled and boxed, they ship to home addresses for remote staff, and once we build the spec you reorder it as you hire instead of reinventing it.
