About Significant Spark
Significant Spark is a promotional products distributor in Baltimore County, Maryland. We put logos on apparel, headwear, bags, drinkware, matches, and gifts for businesses, crews, congregations, schools, and nonprofits across the state.
We're a trade name of Victoria & Company L.L.C., a Maryland limited liability company that has been in continuous good standing since 2016. That matters more than it sounds like it does: it means when a school district or a hospital asks for a certificate of good standing and a certificate of insurance before they'll issue a purchase order, we have both, and your order doesn't stall.
Why we started this
We came into this from ten years of running a service business, on the buying side of exactly this transaction. What we kept running into was a choice between two bad options: a website with a shopping cart and nobody to ask, or a distributor who quoted a full page of charges you'd never heard of and couldn't evaluate.
So the way we work is a deliberate reaction to that.
You get a person. One name, one phone number, from quote through delivery.
You get samples. Decorated apparel is a weight-and-texture decision. We'll get the actual garment into your hands before you commit to sixty of them.
You get the whole number up front. Setup, digitizing, run charges, freight, under-minimum fees — all of it on the quote, before you commit. If there's a cheaper way to get you what you want, we say so, even when it's a smaller order for us.
What we're good at
Embroidered apparel — polos, caps, quarter-zips, fleece. It's what we know best and it's what holds up. We're also good at the things that require someone to actually think: assembled kits, uniform programs for crews that turn over, spirit stores a volunteer shouldn't have to run, and hitting an event date that's closer than it should be.
What we'll tell you honestly
We are not the cheapest option on a plain tote bag at a thousand pieces. The big online catalogs decorate in-house at a scale we can't match, and on a pure commodity item at high volume they will beat us. We'd rather say that than pretend otherwise.
What we're better at is everything around the product — knowing what will actually get worn, catching the sizing problem before it ships, finding the tier where your budget goes further, answering the phone in October when your event is in three weeks.
